Mr. Zia Mahmood

President, AuD(Doctor of Audiology)

Mr. Zia Mahmood is working as the President for CANHABC. Mr. Mahmood has more than 23 years of experience as a Clinical Audiologist. He graduated in 1984 as a medical doctor. He also has post-graduation in Otolaryngology. He has worked as an Otolaryngologist and Audiologist in Pakistan and other countries for many years. He has a Master’s degree in Audiological Medicine from the University of Manchester, UK. He also has a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D) degree from Salus University, USA. He is registered with CASLPO and has been working in Canada since 2005.

Mr. Mahmood is one of the pioneers in audiology who has started balance assessment in Canada. Previously he had worked at many clinics to provide these advanced audiology services. Now he has started the special clinics for hearing & balance assessment first in Scarborough & then at other locations. He can also speak Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi & Arabic, which is very valuable in the multicultural society of Canada.

Vukiet Tran

VP Medical Affairs & Business Development

Dr. Tran has been in clinical practice for over 15 years. He trained in Sherbrooke and Montreal, Quebec and moved to Ontario in 2000. Dr. Tran understands well the numerous healthcare environment of the Canadian and American healthcare system. Being a physician in the front lines (family and emergency medicine), Dr. Tran is particularly aware of the challenges that the Canadian healthcare system faces. He is looking forward to work with the challenges facing our industry. As a leader with the right attitude and skills, Dr. Tran is ready to face these challenges head on, whether it is in the for-profit or non-for-profit side of the industry. The future is yet to be shaped and change is key.

Selina Hirji

Chief Physiotherapist

Dr. Hirji began her journey as a Registered Nurse and worked at the Montreal Children’s Hospital and then moved back to Ontario to work at The Hospital for Sick Children, Centenary Hospital and St. Michael’s Hospital here in Toronto. Then she completed her Doctor of Chiropractic at The Canadian memorial Chiorpractic College. She worked in outpatient rehabilitation clinics in Hamilton and Toronto. Most recently she completed her Master of Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto. She has worked in a variety of settings including: home care, long term care (nursing home/retirement home), OHIP physio clinics and private physiotherapy clinics. Her clinical focus includes: falls prevention in seniors, management of chronic pain, graded motor imagery/mirror therapy and vestibular rehabilitation (dizziness) therapy. She is committed to providing her patients with the knowledge and skills to help themselves to reach their maximum level of wellness.

TJ Rana

VP Marketing

T.J. Rana is serving as the Vice President of Marketing and Operations for CANHABC. He completed his BDS from Pakistan and practiced Dentistry for 2 years before migrating to Canada. T. J. has 4 years experience in the field of Medical Sales and Marketing, as well as business associations with cardiac and hearing centers. His varied responsibilities include managing accounts, exploring new ventures, facilitating collaboration between staff members and referring physicians and ensuring the overall smooth functionality of the team.
